Having returned from the research stay at the University of Toronto (Canada), Lisa started her PhD thesis on the influence of eRNAs on promoter promoter-proximal pausing.

Her work is funded by the SPP 1738 Program of the DFG, which is focused on "Non-coding RNAs in Nervous System Development, Plasticity and Disease."
