Preprint alert!! Our study on m6A in planarians is finally out on bioRxiv!

In this study we use direct RNA sequencing (Nanopore) to provide the most comprehensive planarian m6A epitranscriptome to date.This resource allowed us to decipher that m6A placement in planarian coding sequence is rare, yet follows EJC-dependent exclusion from splice junctions. And it further revealed that m6A effects on mRNA stability are cell-type specific and define mutually exclusive transcript fates.
